Welcome Aung

Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Aung Nu.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Aung Nu. What brought you here?

– It’s my career. I previously worked at Hitachi Energy in Singapore, where I met a colleague from Sweden. I learned a bit about the culture and like it. There were career opportunities here in Ludvika, so now I’m here. I moved here in January.

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I’m originally from Myanmar but lived in Singapore for 18 years. I like football and support Manchester United. I’ve played some table tennis as well and hope to try skiing sometime. In my youth, I used to roller skate, but I suppose that’s not quite the same.

– I like peaceful places. In Singapore, the pace is hectic all the time. In my profession, working long hours is a norm and you’re expected to reply to work emails on weekends.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– That it’s cold right now, haha. But it’s very peaceful here.
