Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Catarina Bergdahl.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Catarina Bergdahl. What has brought you here?

– Apart from the job, it's that I find Dalarna very beautiful. Plus, it’s not too far to Eskilstuna, where I come from.

Tell us a little about yourself!

– I work as an environmental and health protection inspector at the Municipality of Ludvika, dealing with waste management and activities involving piercing or cutting, such as tattoo artists, podiatrists, and acupuncturists. Previously, I worked as an environmental coordinator at Region Sörmland. I have two adult sons and a grandchild in Eskilstuna, and I bake the world’s best drömmar (traditional Swedish cookies).

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– I think the nature is very beautiful and the people are warm, pleasant, and welcoming. In Eskilstuna, there is a bit of a Stockholm complex, and I find people have a more judgmental attitude there. I don’t experience that here.
