Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Christian Bellhammar! What brought you here?

– I work at Team Dalateknik in Ludvika. My wife and I find self-sufficiency exciting. She is a gardener and is starting her own business. We live in Långmyra, completely "off-grid." This means we are entirely self-sufficient in terms of electricity and water, thanks to solar panels and battery storage. We have all modern conveniences, such as a toilet, shower, and TV. Once we get all our crops up and running, we will be even more self-sufficient. My father grew up in Långmyra, and the house we live in was once home to my great-grandparents.

Tell us a little about yourself!

– I was born and raised in Huskvarna. In my job at Team Dalateknik, I function-test electronics for Hitachi Energy; they are our main client. We have two sons, both of whom have moved out. That’s when you start looking around and can make changes in life.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– Really great! I love how close everything is, and I really enjoy both winter and summer! The nature, the ease of getting around—everything you need is right here!
