Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Emma Virenhag. What brought you here?

– It was a bit of a coincidence. I was studying in Stockholm and graduated in January. At the time, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to start working in Stockholm or not. I had a look at Platsbanken (the Swedish Public Employment Service’s job listings site) and became curious about Dalarna. I saw the advertisement for Gonäs Preschool and thought I’d apply and see what happens. Then I was invited to visit, and I got a really good impression. I followed my gut feeling—and it said yes!

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I’m a newly qualified preschool teacher and I work here at Gonäs Preschool. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, embroidering, reading, and spending time in nature.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– It’s a small municipality, and it’s really beautiful here with all the nature and very friendly people. I often cycle to work, and there are lovely cycle paths. I have many positive impressions of both the nature and the people.
