Welcome Inga och Jens

Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. Among them are Inga och Jens Leiding.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika Jens and Inga Leidig, what brought you here?

– My uncle worked at the German embassy in Stockholm in the early 90s. When the family moved, my oldest cousin had started studying and stayed behind. That’s why I’ve always had a connection to the country. At the same time, I felt stuck in my old job. The housing market in Germany is "broken," and we needed more space since we have three children. Together, we decided to move abroad, says Jens.

– We love the outdoors, and that’s why we chose Ludvika over Västerås. We like that it’s a smaller town with more nature, says Inga.

Tell us a little about yourselves!

– I work as a Project Manager in Digital R&D at HVDC. We come from Hamburg. It’s also an international city, but not like Ludvika. It must be completely unique for such a small town to have so many cultures, says Jens.

– I have a master’s degree in education and social sciences, and I have worked in Human Resources as well as in educational environments. I’m also a certified fitness instructor and am considering starting a business in that field one day, says Inga.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– Very good. From the first moment, we have felt safe here. It feels like a good place to raise children, says Jens.

– We love the landscape here; the forests and the hilly terrain. And all credit to Samarkand. It’s a big step to move with the whole family, but they offered a very good support package, says Inga.
