Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Julia Arvidsson.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Julia Arvidsson. What brought you here?

– Work. I got a position as a land and development engineer in the Municipality of Ludvika. I thought it sounded super exciting. I've spent some leisure time in Dalarna before; I have quite a few friends in the area. So Dalarna is close to my heart!

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I’m someone who loves history and the outdoors, and I enjoy crafts and doing things around the house. The property prices here are so reasonable that, as a recent graduate, I could actually get onto the housing market — that was a real draw!

– I’m originally from Umeå and studied in Uppsala, in the land surveying programme with a focus on law. I now work as a land and development engineer, which means managing the municipality’s land from a legal perspective. At the moment, we're working on preparing more industrial land to enable continued growth.

– I have a small dog, and here you're close to nature areas.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– In general, people are welcoming and unpretentious. I have the time and opportunity to live the way I want here. The Municipality of Ludvika is a good employer! I have the chance to spend time on and prioritise the things I enjoy.

– It’s also exciting that so much is happening as Ludvika grows!
