Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. Among them are Laura och Bram.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Laura and Bram van den Brink! What brought you here?

– Two years ago, we started talking about living abroad. Sweden was one of the candidates on our list. Last summer, we decided to come here on holiday and we travelled around Sweden for three weeks. One stop was Ludvika, where we met Hitachi Energy. And we really liked this place! Even before that, we had met both Hitachi and Samarkand at the large emigration fair in Houten.

Tell us a bit about yourselves!

– We lived near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where the pace is much faster than here. Buying a house there is almost impossible. I’m 31 years old and studying Swedish for Immigrants. I have a background in social work, says Laura.

– When we decided to move to Sweden, I started looking for different jobs. Hitachi Energy had the best offer, says Bram, who is 33.

What are your thoughts on your new home municipality?

– So far, we really like Ludvika. There’s a lot of nature, while the town still has everything you need. People are kind and helpful. And Ludvika is becoming a very international town. That makes it easier to make friends when you come from outside.
