Welcome Lisa

Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Lisa Naab.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Lisa Naab. What brought you here?

– Love! My partner Kristofer is from Ludvika. We met almost five years ago during a trip to Mexico when we were diving together. After that, we kept in touch. Kristofer works at Hitachi and in the beginning, he could spend a lot of time in Germany where I lived. After a year, we tried living in Ludvika, I learned Swedish and after I received my licence as a psychologist and therapist, we decided to call Ludvika our home. You could say we tried it out first to see if I could imagine living here – and I could – so now we’re here!

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I work for Region Dalarna. I’ve lived in Cologne, Germany for the past six years. In the long run, it’s too big a city with too many people for me. I’ve always been an outdoorsy person; travelled a lot and done a lot of hiking. I enjoy the nature around Ludvika. We have a dog and I’ve started riding again. It’s nice to have nature close by.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– I found it incredibly easy to meet kind people who are open and helpful in various ways. Of course, I’ve gotten to know many people through my partner, but it feels like everyone knows each other, it’s easy to connect, meet up and have a coffee. The international atmosphere is very welcoming for someone moving here, I felt safe. I got the sense that it’s just a lovely place to live!
