Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Madeleine Klintmark.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Madeleine Klintmark. What brought you here?

– Love! I met my current partner and after living apart and commuting between Stockholm and Ludvika for two and a half years, we decided to move in together! We packed up and moved from Stockholm to Ludvika, where we now live and work. We’ve found a good balance between work and leisure, as we’re mostly active outdoors as much as possible.

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I previously worked at the Swedish Transport Administration in Stockholm for a full 21 years, the last 12 of which were in the city centre, but I’ve never really seen myself as a city girl. On Tuesday, I began my internal training at Power Transformers, Hitachi Energy, where I’ll be learning to make windings for large transformers. Super exciting!

– I never want to have regrets and I don’t want to look back when I’m older and feel there were things I didn’t do. Life’s too short to sit around waiting for something to happen, and I’m a positive, happy and curious person who enjoys learning new things.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– The Municipality of Ludvika is undergoing major development. Not only because Hitachi Energy is putting Ludvika on the map, but there’s building and renovation happening throughout the municipality. I really enjoy it here—it’s walking and cycling distance to so much, and I like that most things move at a calmer pace. It is and will continue to be exciting to see how the Municipality of Ludvika continues to grow and develop.
