Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Mohammed Kalaji.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika,

Mohammed Kalaji. What brought you here?

– You could say “welcome back”. I chose to return because I saw an opportunity to apply all the experience I’ve gained in Uppsala and Stockholm to the role I have today. I work as a systems administrator within the Department of Health and Social Care in the Municipality of Ludvika.
– Going forward, I hope to take on assignments focused on developing digital working methods and AI solutions, to ease administrative tasks and free up more time for quality and service.

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I have a background in economics, but I’ve also worked in IT, so I know this area well. I’ve worked in several municipalities and for a government agency. Over the years, I’ve been involved in driving digitalisation projects using AI, which has led to more efficient ways of working.
– What drives me is combining technology and AI for the benefit of society. I’m curious, cheerful, and passionate about development. I work out and enjoy going for walks.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– I first came here in 2014 and moved away in 2018. Then I returned in 2024. I noticed major changes in every possible way. It’s a real golden opportunity – you notice that quickly when you come back! You can see there’s a future and real potential for Ludvika to grow. And you can see it in the community; Ludvika is more multicultural than before.
