Welcome Pernilla

Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Pernilla Marberg.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Pernilla Marberg. What brought you here?

– A business lunch. We were planning to expand our operations in the construction industry with an additional unit, as the municipality is a uniquely growing area. The development of the company never materialised, and I sold my share.
– By then, I had already fallen in love with the nature, the environment, and being close to my relatives. So I felt that I wanted to move.
– I have broad expertise and I’m fearless. So I started looking for temporary jobs to get to know my new hometown and to build new local contacts. On the municipality’s website, there was an ad for a unit manager in the Health and Social Care Administration. I read it and thought, “I can do all of that.” I put together an application, and on 2 May last year, I took up the position as unit manager.

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I lived in Örebro for 30 years, I’m interested in development, I’m driven and actually quite patient. Personal traits that are encouraged in the municipal sector.
– In my spare time, I enjoy being active with my dogs and enjoying the outdoors with them, mainly in the forest.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?
– Our municipality is unique and has great potential. Despite the global situation, we are a growing municipality. And we have many skilled employees in our municipal sectors, and it’s for them that I work, as they perform their jobs masterfully every day. Ludvika is unique thanks to its uniquely wonderful residents.
– My fantastic colleagues within LSS and at Marnäsliden all did an amazing job welcoming a slightly confused manager who constantly needed Google Maps to find her way around. And still, it didn’t always go right. Imagine when I went to Gräsberg instead of Grängesberg.
