Welcome Ronny and Catrin Kungberg
Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. Among them are Ronny and Catrin Kungberg and their three children.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Ronny and Catrin Kungberg, with your children Molly, Gillis, and Folke. What brought you here?
– The house! We lived in Braås outside Växjö, and my wife and I had a wish to move north. We were looking for houses in central Sweden, Jämtland, and Östersund. We were craving more distinct seasons. Plus, a house like this would have cost twice as much in Småland, says Ronny.
– I have three other children who are grown up now, so the timing was right, says Catrin.
– We searched and searched and, of course, had our criteria. This house in Nyhammar was on the market twice. The second time, we made an offer, got the house, and went home and handed in our resignations.
Tell us a bit about yourselves!
– I’m a secondary school teacher and Catrin is a trained assistant nurse, so we figured the job situation would work out. Now Catrin works as a parish assistant. We enjoy being close to nature – outdoor activities are important to us!
– We have many friends who come to visit, and the older children come up for the weekend. So we haven’t lost touch with Småland.
What are your impressions of your new home municipality?
– We knew about Asea, but didn’t know that Hitachi Energy is here, or that Spendrups is located in Grängesberg. And we didn’t know anything about the schools here, but we’re very pleased! Nyhammar School has great community spirit; the children are so kind to one another. Ludvika is just the right size, it’s cosy. We don’t regret moving here for a second!
