Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. Among them are Shivendra Verma and Jyotsna Shivendra with their children Varunya and Veeransh.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Shivendra Verma and Jyotsna Shivendra with the children Varunya and Veeransh, what brought you here?

– I was working in India as a project manager in Power transmission projects. Hitachi Energy is the market leader and pioneer in HVDC technology, and now I've been given the opportunity to work as Sub-PM with it, says Shivendra Verma.

Tell us a little about yourselves!

– I have a Masters degree in environmental engineering and have worked as an assistant professor, environmentalist in India. After having children, I’ve devoted more time to them to enjoy motherhood, says Jyotsna.

What are your thoughts on your new home municipality?

– It’s a new experience with a completely new culture. We’ve only lived here for three months. You won’t learn everything at once, says Shivendra Verma.

– The Air quality is very good here and this place is close to nature, also the town is very beautiful with lots of scenic beauty, says Jyotsna.

– And there’s snow, exclaims their daughter Varunya.

– Where the rest of the world is just talking about it, I feel people here in Hitachi/Sweden are able to live and maintain work-life balance in actual sense. We have also heard that Swedes are reserved, but we find people here more clear and helpful, says Shivendra Verma.

– I feel I get more time with my husband and children here, and we spend more time together as a family, says Jyotsna.
