Welcome Sruthi

Statistics show that many people are moving to the Municipality of Ludvika, and that's why we think it's great to introduce some of them. One of them is Sruthi Rathish.

Welcome to the Municipality of Ludvika, Sruthi Rathish. What brought you here?

– My husband got a job at Hitachi Energy. After studying Swedish at SFI, I worked as a substitute in preschools and primary schools here. But now I have also got a job at Hitachi Energy as a Protection and Control Supervisor (roughly equivalent to protection and control manager).

Tell us a bit about yourself!

– I come from India but have lived in Oman. I am educated in both electronics and have a teaching qualification. I have two sons, enjoy textile crafts, and love to read.

What are your impressions of your new home municipality?

– I really enjoy it here. It’s a great country for women. Here I can work with technology; that’s not possible in all places in the world. The weather here is, of course, different, but I actually like winter better than summer. And my children enjoy skiing and playing ice hockey.
